First time visit to a ghost town, and with the housing boom in Colorado, it was…kind of inhabited. There were vacation cabins right down some of the side streets, in active use. Same goes for Bonanza and Exchecquer, two “ghost towns” we rode through while in southernish Colorado (we were fifty miles from the Great Sand Dunes before we turned around to head back northwest).
Villa Grove Cemetery, located along US-285, however…if you blink, you’ll miss the whole town of Villa Grove.
This cemetery has a great view of the mountains…and incoming weather.
