In the course of driving back to Colorado from Washington, DC, TC and I stopped in Hannibal, Missouri: the hometown of Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain). Outside of the city proper is Mount Olivet cemetery. If you have ever been in the Southern United States in summer, you know that it is ungodly hot, humid, and buggy. This is the first time I’ve done a “drive by” visit of a cemetery. I’ve ridden pillion through a cemetery before (but obviously it was a stop and go thing since having your phone/camera out while riding a motorcycle is just dumb).
I like stone angels (and I’m not a Dr. Who fan).
Welcome mat in front of the chapel; I obviously got out of the car for this.
